Eight of D.C's Best Bars and Clubs

By Jessa Munis

Ok Freshmen, this one goes out to you. I know for a fact that y’all are looking for places to go out and use that brand new fake. Here is the best of bars and clubs in D.C.:

  1. Barcode: This place is definitely the place to go on Tuesdays, when they have their 18+ nights. Barcode is a great place to dip your toes into the nightlife here.

  2. Decades: Decades also has a few 18+ events, but if you happen to be 21 (cough, cough), it’s a great place to meet people from other DC universities

  3. Ultra Bar: Ultra has their 18+ nights on Thursdays, but enter at your own risks. It is filled to the brim with middle aged men.

  4. Heist: One of the more popular spots, Heist is easy to get into and super fun. Expect to see a lot of frat guys and sorority girls.

  5. NERO: Like Heist, NERO is easy to get into. It has great music and the drinks aren’t too expensive for those who are of age.

  6. Saks, Living Room, and Saint Yves: All amazing, all not worth the $20 cover charge. Wait for the next sorority formal there.

  7. Ad-Mo: Definitely fun, but difficult to get into unless you’re actually 21. Attempt at your own risk.

  8. Chef Geoff’s: The place is right down the street and one of the most popular places for happy hour. The food and the drinks are good, and not too expensive.
