Navy Yard: An athlete’s dream home

Ok, if we’re being honest, we all know that we don’t leave campus nearly enough. Between classes, clubs and binging Queer Eye on Netflix, it’s no surprise we aren’t taking full advantage of DC. Don’t worry: you don’t have to leave your dorm to experience the District. You can experience it all on social media. Here are 7 Instagram accounts to follow for you to get your fix of our incredible city.

  1. @overhearddistrict shares the funniest things overheard around town. You can DM in your own favorite overheard quote or scroll through the funny ones there.

  2. @eatthecapital shares the best food around DC. Perfect for a scroll if TDR disappoints you as much as it does me.

  3. @adrienradford shares photos of DC most aesthetically pleasing locations. Check him out for your next photoshoot spot.

  4. Check out @sara.azani for all things DC style. Starting out as a MBA student posting her style, her Instagram has expanded as she’s entered the professional world.

  5. @dcsoulrecordings is the best account for music lovers. They share records cataloguing the music history of DC and Maryland, including soul, funk, disco, boogie, jazz, & related history.

  6. @nationalbuildingmuseum is one of the city’s best photo spots, and it’s also a great museum to spend an hour or two at. Check out their Instagram to see what exhibits they have!

  7. @dccitygirl is a themed Instagram showcasing all of DC’s best spots. Right now her theme is all things cherry blossom, so it’s definitely worth a look.
